SCARECROWS OF HOPEWELL
Hopewell Township and WESBANCO are teaming up to host our scarecrow making contest once again!
Pre-register for a fun day creating your own scarecrow with family and friends on Saturday, October 7th, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Hopewell Community Park! We are looking for individuals, families, friends, classes, clubs, teams, scouts……. anyone that wants to join in the fun!
Straw, wooden frames, burlap sacks, and rope/twine will be provided. Teams will be asked to provide clothes for their scarecrow and any other accessories they may want to use.
Teams must pre-register by September 25th so supplies can be ordered.
Once completed, photographs will be taken, then the scarecrows will be put on Facebook for votes.
PRIZES!!
1st place: $200 + 1 FREE PAVILION RENTAL
2nd place: $100 + 1 FREE PAVILION RENTAL
3rd place: $50 + 1 FREE PAVILION RENTAL
The scarecrows will be placed throughout the Township.
Participants will be asked to retrieve their scarecrows just prior to Halloween so they can decorate their homes for trick or treat which will be held on Tuesday, October 31st, 6-8pm.
