- For complaints between the hours of 3:30 pm and 8:30 am on weekdays, as well as any time on weekends and holidays, call Beaver County’s non-emergency dispatch at 724-775-0880.
Accreditation
The Hopewell Township Police Department is proud to announce that we are pursuing accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). This voluntary process holds our department to rigorous, nationally recognized standards and reflects our continued commitment to professionalism, transparency, and excellence in serving the residents of Hopewell Township.
As part of the accreditation process through the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), a public comment portal has been established to allow members of the community to provide input. The purpose of this portal is to receive comments regarding the agency’s compliance with CALEA standards, engagement within the community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accredited status. Submissions may include commendations or concerns.
The intent of the accreditation process is to provide participating agencies with valuable feedback that supports continuous improvement and fosters the pursuit of professional excellence. We encourage members of the community to take part in this important process.
It is important to note that the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) is not an investigatory body. The public comment portal should not be used to submit complaints requiring investigation or to request law enforcement action. Submissions through the portal will receive an acknowledgement of receipt; however, no further response will be provided. Comments will be reviewed and considered in the context of their relevance to compliance with CALEA standards and the principles of accreditation.

Community Safety
Buckle Up … It’s the Law: Please be aware that it is a primary law in Pennsylvania to wear your seatbelt. If you are a driver or passenger under 18 years of age, you must buckle up. The police will pull you over, write you a ticket, and if convicted, you’ll have to pay a fine. If you are a driver 18 years of age or older and the police pull you over for another violation, you’ll receive a second ticket if you or your front-seat passengers aren’t wearing seat belts.
Sex Offender Registration: Pennsylvania’s General Assembly has determined that public safety will be enhanced by making information about registered sex offenders available to the public through the Internet. Knowledge of whether a person is a registered sex offender could be a significant factor in protecting yourself, your family members, or persons in your care from recidivist acts by registered sex offenders. Public access to information about registered sex offenders is intended solely as a means of public protection.

Department Uniform Patches
The Hopewell Police Department is unable to fulfill requests for department uniform patches through the mail due to budgetary and security reasons.
