LET’S CELEBRATE EARTH DAY BY CLEANING UP OUR TOWNSHIP!
In addition to the work party at the park, Hopewell Windmill is once again spearheading Clean-Up teams and we need you!

Hopewell Windmill Litter Campaign. Please help volunteers needed.
The amount of LITTER on the side of local roadways is unbelievable, taking a team of people to help. The Windmill (celebrating our 62 years) is taking on the litter challenge seriously.
When: Saturday April 20th 8:30 am to 11am.
Where: meet at the Windmill for a brief organizational type meeting
Road’s targeted to pick up litter.
1. 151 from the bottom of the hill RT 51 South heights rt 51 to Brodhead RD (1.3 miles) uphill
a. Both side of the road
2. 151 from the Coen convenience store 161O Gringo Road to VFW stone quarry road (.4 miles) plus the Hopewell interstate 376 Interchange both directions on and off
Bring a friend, groups and organizations are encouraged to help. Young kids with parents are welcomed.
Thank you gathering at the Windmill afterwards around 11:30am with Pizza, drinks and ice cream. Community service hours will be documented,
What’s needed.
• Trash bags provided by PennDOT
• Safety Vest provided by PennDOT
• Gloves provided by PennDOT
Additional items:
• 5-gallon buckets work well to place the debris in
• Finger extension tools work well.
• Metal yard rakes work well in pulling out the litter
